For Wed 3 May: Look at the Point and Example we made in class about descriptive detail in "All That Glisters". Write the explanation of how the Example (the quotation) works. You need to look at what is implied by the words the author uses, look for contrast, and comment on the effect of the contrast. Be brilliant!

For week of 5 March:
Mon 5 March:
1) Finish the paragraph (from Q5 after "All That Glisters") you copied down off the board in Friday's class. You need to do the analysis or explanation section of the paragraph.

HELPFUL HINT: The beginning of the paragraph was the point made. The next section was the evidence supporting the point. Now, you need to explain how your evidence works in terms of the point made. Think about contrast. Contrast is inherent in change.
